I love entering art quilt competitions, making art quilts for friends and on commission. I pack these quilts up, send them to galleries or shows and send them to private collections. This quilt was different. This quilt was made for the private collection of my husband. It is in his private collection. My husband loves jazz so this piece started my jazz quilts. It began a whole line of artistic study for me. This work is made of commercial fabrics, machine stitching, and features a pieced background, appliqued gold fabrics and threads. It features free motion quilting.
